Wedding Bookings Terms And Conditions
Wedding Bookings Terms and Conditions
We want to ensure that a high standard of service is offered throughout our contract with our customers. We can be contacted on 07868 943629 or sian@thecuttinggarden.uk.
Deposit
When a wedding date is booked we charge a deposit of 20% to save the date. Weddings quoted at less than £500 will be charged a £100 deposit. If, for any reason you decide to cancel your wedding this deposit is non-refundable. If you decide to postpone your wedding we will hold your deposit until your wedding goes ahead. The deposit is subtracted from your final wedding invoice. Payment of the deposit is an acknowledgement of our Terms and Conditions.
Quotation and Payment
No wedding or event is booked until the deposit has been paid. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Once the deposit has been paid then the prices and dates are secure unless stated otherwise.
A quotation for the cost of your wedding flowers will be sent to you after the initial consultation; this is a guide price as you may make changes closer to the wedding day in terms of the type of arrangements and quantity. Changes can be made no later than 28 days before the wedding date. You will receive a final invoice approximately 21 days before your wedding. Payment is accepted by card, cash or direct payment via internet banking.
Payment in full is required at least 14 days before the wedding.
Cancellations
In the event of cancellation, the booking fee will not be refunded. Complete cancellation of the wedding must be advised in writing at least 28 days before the wedding to avoid being invoiced for the balance for the wedding flowers.
Availability of Flowers
Unlike most florists, we do not guarantee specific stem types. Our flowers are all grown on our plots or sourced from other local growers and we will always use the best of what is flowering at the time.
The options are that you can leave us to choose a mix of flowers, or we will work to a colour and style palette, based on our discussions, colour samples and photos that you send us. Please note this never produces identical flowers or designs to the photos that you send in, these are purely used as inspiration.
Plant material warnings
Please note that some flowers and plants may be harmful or poisonous if ingested. In particular, your arrangement may contain foxgloves or Larkspur, which are poisonous/toxic if eaten.
Please do not eat any plant materials. When handling flowers (ie cutting them) you should wear gloves and wash your hands before eating or drinking.
Flowers intended for use by (particularly young) children will not contain anything that is known to be poisonous or an irritant but we cannot accept responsibility for any adverse reaction should material be ingested.
Flowers provided for use on cakes will not be toxic, however, our flowers are not food-grade so should never be eaten or placed in direct contact with the cake.
Delivery
Any queries must be raised within 30 minutes of delivery by telephoning 07868 943629.
Hire/use of vases, crates etc.
We charge a refundable deposit of £100 for this service. Containers must be returned to The Cutting Garden within 3 days, - or as agreed.
Charges will be made for any glassware returned cracked, chipped or broken. Replacement of goods is charged at the current purchase price, it is then the responsibility of the hirer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault.
Equipment hired (jugs, jars, bottles, vases, milk churns, etc) remains the property of The Cutting Garden at all times.
Photographs
The Cutting Garden reserves the right to take photographs of flowers and the setting prior to the wedding which may be used for promotional purposes.
Responsibility
The Cutting Garden accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage to the hirer or any third party of any equipment hired for use at the event.
We accept no responsibility for the condition of the flowers once they have been delivered or collected and left our care.
We accept no responsibility for any damage caused to clothing by pins, ribbons, water or flower residues/pollens.
We accept no responsibility for skin irritation caused by plant material or for any other adverse reaction.
