Caring for & Styling your Cut Flowers

Our flowers are freshly cut to order, straight into water and conditioned overnight. We don’t use any preservatives. Your flowers should last at least 5-7 days if you follow this guide:

Prepare a thoroughly clean vase (you should be able to drink from it!) and fill it 2/3 full with cool tap water.

Carefully unwrap your flowers.  Take one inch off the end of each stem, cutting at an angle. We recommend the use of specialist floral scissors or snips which give a cleaner cut.

Place each stem straight into water as you cut, ensuring you remove any leaves below the waterline.

We recommend starting with woody foliage first to create a framework and then adding in the other foliage and filler flowers.  Finish off by inserting any larger flowers into the gaps to keep them anchored in the vase.

Place your flowers in a cool place, away from sunlight, radiators and the fruit bowl (ripening fruit emits a gas that shortens vase life)

Flowers are thirsty and in warm weather you may need to top the water up every day so keep an eye on this.

Change the water completely at least every other day as bacteria will quickly build up and re-cut the ends to allow a better uptake of water.

Some flowers will naturally fade before others, so remove faded blooms to keep the display going longer.
